What is the difference between cast and extruded acrylic?â–¼
Cast acrylic is produced by pouring liquid monomer between glass moulds, resulting in tighter thickness tolerances, better optical clarity, and superior machinability. Extruded acrylic is more consistent in thickness and better suited for thermoforming. We stock cast acrylic.
Can you cut acrylic sheets to a custom size?â–¼
Yes. We offer custom cut-to-size on all acrylic products. Contact us to describe your required dimensions and quantity and we will provide a quote.
Do you ship acrylic across Canada?â–¼
Yes. We ship Canada-wide from our Vaughan, ON facility. Shipping is quoted per order based on sheet size, thickness, and destination.
What thickness do I need for a sneeze guard?â–¼
For most counter-height sneeze guards, 4.5mm (3/16") or 6mm (1/4") is standard. For larger freestanding panels, 6mm is recommended for rigidity.
Is acrylic the same as Plexiglass or Lexan?â–¼
Plexiglass is a brand name for acrylic (PMMA) — they are the same material. Lexan is a brand name for polycarbonate (PC), which is a different, tougher material. We carry both acrylic and polycarbonate sheets.
